The Bible reminds us of the strength found in Christian fellowship: "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
a cord of three strands is not quickly broken." — Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)
When Christ is at the center of our lives, we become stronger together than we could ever be alone. United in faith, we encourage one another, support one another, and face every challenge with hope and confidence. Although we come from different families, cultures, and backgrounds, we share one Heavenly Father.
In His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross at Golgotha for the forgiveness of our sins. By God's grace, we are saved through faith in Jesus Christ and His redeeming sacrifice. Through Him, we are adopted into one spiritual family.
As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect the same sacrificial love He has shown us. Our love for one another becomes a visible testimony of our faith. Through genuine love, compassion, forgiveness, and service, the world recognizes us as Christ's disciples.
The Apostle Peter encourages us: "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." — 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV)
Love gives us hope in difficult times. It strengthens our trust in God and in one another, enabling us to endure life's challenges with patience and grace. As we grow in faith, God's love becomes increasingly evident in our words, attitudes, and actions.
The Apostle Paul also reminds us that the Church is far more than a gathering of individuals. Together, we are God's dwelling place:
"In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit." — Ephesians 2:21–22 (NIV)
What a beautiful picture of the Church! Every member is a valued part of God's work. Together, we are being built into a spiritual home where God's presence is known, His love is shared, and all people are welcomed to experience the hope found in Jesus Christ.

At our church, we believe that we are more than a congregation—we are a family in Jesus Christ.
As God's family, we are called to share one another's joys and burdens, encouraging each other as we grow in faith.
A Swedish proverb wisely says, "Shared joy is double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow." When we celebrate together, our joy is multiplied.When we carry one another's burdens, life's difficulties become lighter.

Our Pastor
I am Pastor Dave Kim. In 1990, during a youth group prayer meeting in a Chicago church, I met and accepted Jesus as my personal Savior. It was there that I came to understand my sins and experienced a profound conversion.
After completing my theological studies in Chicago in 1995, I returned to Korea, where I was born and raised. I dedicated seven years to serving as a short-term missionary in the Philippines, focusing on ministry for foreign workers.
In 2002, answering God's call, I was commissioned by the Mission Board of the Korean Methodist Church and began my missionary journey in the Philippines alongside my beloved wife, Grace, and our son, Jake. Our youngest daughter, Jeena, was born during our first year of service in the Philippines.
With the support of Korean churches, we established three churches in the Philippines, and I initiated a fourth church specifically for my ministry to the local community.
I received my ordination from the United Methodist Church (UMC) in 2010 and pastored that church before being sent as a UMC missionary to Sungeui Methodist Church in Korea in 2012.
Through the Korea Global Scholarship Program, I engaged in pastoral ministry, serving and caring for students from around the world. At the church's request, I managed and supported Korean missionaries sent to 38 countries worldwide.
Additionally, I served as an associate pastor, caring for a congregation of 4,000 members for ten years before returning with my family to Chicago—my spiritual home. This was reminiscent of how Jacob led his family of 70 to settle in the land of Goshen in Egypt.
By God's Grace, after pastoring at 3-Point Church in Durand, Wisconsin, I received a call from the conference, and I have been serving at Spooner Church and Lakeview Church since July 2025.
My focus is not just on how to lead my ministry, but on remaining true to the vow I made at my ordination: to serve God wholeheartedly and care for the congregation with all my heart. This is my spiritual home, much like Jacob's journey to Goshen.
Having officially transferred from the Philippines Annual Conference to the Wisconsin Annual Conference, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve at Spooner Church and Lakeview Church.
My commitment to the congregation remains strong: to serve God with all my heart and to care for His people faithfully.
